Use this workflow to reduce onboarding confusion and increase early feature adoption. Primary outcomes:

Entry criteria

Trigger event:
  • New signup, typically after the welcome workflow.
Required conditions:
  • Contact has a valid email.
  • Contact is subscribed.
  • Contact is in a new-user segment.
Recommended send window:
  • 1 to 2 days after welcome.

Exit criteria

Mark workflow complete when:
  • Email is sent successfully.
  • User completes key onboarding milestone.
Cancel or expire when:
  • Contact unsubscribes.
  • Contact exits onboarding segment.
  • Queue item exceeds expiration policy.

Suppression and conflict rules

Default safeguards:
  • Skip unsubscribed contacts.
  • Skip contacts without valid email.
  • Respect deduplication windows and frequency caps.
  • Let MailerPath system priority rules resolve queue conflicts.
