Quick Start Checklist

  1. Create and verify your account.
  2. Configure sender identity and domain settings.
  3. Import your first contacts CSV.
  4. Create at least one email template.
  5. Create and send your first campaign.
  6. Start sending events to power tags, journeys, and workflows.

1) Account Setup And Verification

After registration, complete email verification before expecting login and protected route access. What to confirm:
  • Account is active and email is verified.
  • You can authenticate against client-facing routes.

2) Sender Readiness

Before sending campaigns or workflow emails, verify sender configuration:
  • Sending domain is verified.
  • Sender email/from name values are set.
  • Provider configuration is valid.

3) Import Contacts

Use CSV import to create or update contacts in bulk. Minimum requirements:
  • Include email column.
  • Keep file in CSV format.
  • Validate date, timezone, and subscription fields.
Tip:
  • Import a small sample first, validate results, then import full data.

4) Create Templates

Start with one campaign template and one workflow or transactional template. Best practices:
  • Keep subject and body variable-safe.
  • Use personalization placeholders consistently.
  • Preview before first production send.

5) Launch First Campaign

Use campaign flow from draft to launch:
  1. Create campaign.
  2. Confirm audience mode and estimated recipients.
  3. Send now or schedule.
  4. Monitor processing and outcomes.

6) Turn On Event Tracking

Events unlock behavior-driven automation and segmentation. Start simple:
  • Send signup events.
  • Add purchase and feature usage events.
  • Track results in Events and Incoming Events views.
